The Very
Reverend Canon Janine C. Stock,
MBA, M Th, JD Vicar General Pastor, All Saints Parish
The Very Reverend Canon Stock was ordained to the sacred Priesthood on Saturday November 20, 2004, at All Saints Parish for the Catholic Church of America. The Very Reverend Canon Stock was later appointed Vicar General to serve the Diocese. In January of 2005 she was appointed and installed as Pastor of All Saints Parish. In April of 2007 she was appointed as a Canon of the Church. Canon Stock continues to serve the American Catholic Church as Vicar General. Canon Stock said, "We are proud to serve those that Rome, for now, has turned away from its table. This includes the divorced, the conscientious dissenters, the marginalized, the GLBT community and countless others. It is our prayer that we will all be united again, but until then, we intend to make the rich traditions of Catholicism available to all who wish to love and serve their God in this particular way.” As the community grows, she would like to add a Spanish Mass for all displaced GLBT Hispanic Catholic families to come together and heal under God’s roof. |
The daughter of a Hispanic
immigrant and a Mohawk Indian, The Very Reverend Canon Stock was
raised to be the “non-traditional traditionalist” that most of
her friends know her to be. Adamant that everyone has a place at
the table, The Very Reverend Canon Stock comes to us with as
diverse an educational background as her home life. In addition
to her Masters of Pastoral Theology (M Th) studies, Canon Janine is a
licensed attorney, holds both a Juris Doctorate (JD) and Masters
of Business Administration (MBA), graduating with
Distinction. She has recently been accepted as a Doctorate
Candidate at Graduate Theological Foundation in South Bend,
Indiana. She is a founding member of both Interfaith Clergy
Committees supporting Marriage Equality California and San Diego
Pride.
